Chill Out! Discover Divine Ice Cream Recipes You Can't Resist
Summer is finally in full swing, and what better way to celebrate than with a scoop of homemade ice cream or Sorbet?

Hello from London,
I'm home safely from my travels in Greece and what fabulous weather we are having here in the UK. In fact, there’s been far less rain here over the last few weeks than there was in Greece, and it’s another hot and sunny Close my eyes and I could be back there in the morning sunshine before the clouds rolled in off the mountains! Until I remember the washing and various other chores I have to do :(
Of course, the lack of rain means my garden has suffered and I think I may have lost my fig tree that is in a pot. My small allotment plot is also very dry and I have missed most of the early red gooseberries and the green ones which are almost ripe may be a bit smaller than usual due to lack of water.
But on a more positive note, the blackcurrants are beginning to ripen and the redcurrants are not far behind. It’s looking like I have a busy few weeks ahead and I shall be trying some new recipes for the blogs and sharing my favourites from the archives over the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, I thought I would share some of my ice cream and sorbet recipes. I think I have just enough blackcurrants to make a sorbet this weekend for which I will be rewarded with an explosion of flavour.
If you haven’t made ice cream before then give it a go its easier than you think. While an ice cream maker will make some ice creams quicker and less time-consuming, to make they are not essential. And some of the recipes don’t need churning anyway, so they are super simple to make.
Until next time.
Have a delicious week and if this tempts fate and breaks the heatwave I’m sorry.
