Hello
I hope you are having a good week. Today is my last day at Safety beach on the Mornington Peninsula. I spent my first few days in Australia getting to know the central area of Melbourne ( an interesting mixture of new and "Oldish" architecture, wide roads and green spaces)before heading to the beach.
I could easily live by this mantra but its actually rather cool here at the moment in the low to mid-teens celsius so have not done much in the way of beach! That said we have done a couple of lovely walks along the beach and last the night had the spectaular experience of watching little penguins come in from the sea to their colony on Philip Island.
The Mornington Peninsula which has a relatively cool climate produces some great wine and other delicious local produce. So we are having a great time drinking and tasting some of the fabulous things on offer.
Back at home 28th September is national curry week. So I thought you might like to check out my curry recipes. Those of you who have followed me for a while will know I am a chilli wimp. But I do have a couple of recipes for curry. The first is my Easy Chicken Curry a mild Korma style with soft gentle spices and a creamy coconut and almond flavoured curry sauce. Ideal for people like me that like a mild curry.
For those who like their curry hotter my Hot and Spicy Curry will be right up your street. You can dial the heat of this curry up even more or tone it down to suit. Both make quick and easy midweek meals.
You might also like to check out my Thai Chicken Curry, Easy Chicken Tandoori and perhaps try your hand at making my Easy no yeast flatbreads to go with your curries.
If you struggle with cooking rice check out how to cook perfect basmati rice or how to cook brown basmati rice quickly in a pressure cooker.
Until next time have a delicious spicy week
