Hello friends
There is a definite nip in the air this week as summer gives way to Autumn. I love the change of seasons, as while we might mourn the loss of some aspects of the departing times, to me, the change of seasons ushers in new opportunities and marks new beginnings.
And there is plenty to look forward to with Autumn just around the corner, as this is the season to get back into baking. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one looking forward to baking more, judging by the influx of new subscribers from Only Crumbs Remain. Welcome! and welcome to to those of you joining me from Recipes Made Easy or direct from Substack. I’m very honoured to have you follow me and hope I to continue to bring you new and interesting content.
I have been working away in the kitchen and have some new baking recipes winging their way to you very soon. Meanwhile I have fully updated my Pear and Blackberry Frangipane Tart with new images and recipe format. I still have a few posts that have my recipes in my original format which is harder to follow or print (for those of us who prefer a print out rather than cooking from the phone, tablet or laptop) and I am working my way through them, restesting and rewriting as I go. Judging by the amount of blackberries ripening in the hedgerows last weekend I’m sure there’s still some time to enjoy some seasonal blackberry recipes.
Pears are now in season and they are great in bakes of all kinds, so this week I thought I would share a selection of pear recipes from the two blogs with you.
Until next time have a delicious week.
PS For my paid subscribers, I hope to publish another More Crumbs this week; these are additional recipes not available on my blogs, that I write as a little thank you for the extra support.
