Lovely Lamb
This week 1-7 September 2023 is Love Lamb Week. Enjoy some fabulous lamb dishes now when British lamb is most plentiful.

Hello
Love lamb week is in its 9th year and is a campaign from the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board with the aim of shining a light on the sustainability of UK sheep production while also reminding consumers of the exceptional taste and quality that UK lamb brings to the dinner table.
British lamb is available all year round. But most lambs are born in spring and are ready for the consumer around six months later – meaning autumn is the time when British, grass-fed lamb is most plentiful.
Now, I have not been paid to promote lamb but I do love lamb and I also love to promote seasonality and great British food and products, so I couldn't resist this opportunity to share some of my favourite lamb recipes.
Here is just a few below and you will find more of my Lamb recipes here
Until next time
Have a delicious week

Shepherds pie

Harissa Lamb Meatballs
Here's a great, easy-to-make, light summer meal. Harissa lamb meatballs are made of minced lamb, flavoured with onions and harissa. Serve them in flatbreads with a red cabbage and apple slaw. Absolutely delicious, even if I say so myself.
Marinated Lamb with Bean Mash
Easy to prepare, Marinated lamb with Haricot Bean Mash is perfect for midweek supper or even a special weekend dinner. Marinating the lamb really adds flavour to this simple and healthy meal.
Easy Lamb Tagine
This classic Moroccan dish made with lamb and flavoured with dried apricots, flavoured with saffron, ginger and cinnamon, and sweetened with honey and takes its name from the pot in which it is cooked.
Middle Eastern Style Lamb Kebabs
These middle eastern style kebabs are made with mince lamb mixed with couscous, and flavoured with onion, chilli, cinnamon, coriander and cumin. Served with a simple to make mint flavoured yogurt sauce. The result a simple and really economical main meal with a fabulous taste.

Blackberry upside down cake
This Blackberry Cake recipe is super easy. It makes great use of seasonal blackberries, teaming them with almonds to make a really great flavour combination.
