Hello again from Greece

Here it is a long holiday weekend. We have just under two weeks left in Greece and having some flexibility to chop and change the days we work, we decide to take a couple of days off and work the weekend instead, hence this is a bit later than usual.

It was the perfect time to visit the amazing medieval fortress town of Monemvasia a place I have wanted to go to for sometime, and we went before the crowds descended on it for the holiday weekend. It is a maze of buildings separated by tiny alleys clinging to a steep mountain, and sloping into the sea, so understandably best to see when not crowded. We also travelled further down the coast to see the cave at Kastania - very few people venture across the tiny mountain roads to see this cave full of coloured limestone formations, and our tiny hire car struggled on the hairpins, but they are a spectacular sight, and it was definately worth the effort to get there.

Meanwhile on the blogs I have put together a collection of salad recipes just in time it would seem, given that back home in the UK looks like we are finally getting a taste of summer there. With plenty of salad ideas to choose from, making dinner becomes a breeze with my quick and easy salad recipes. The collection features a variety of recipes, including vegetarian options and salads with chicken, meat, fish and cheese ensuring there's something for everyone.
