The Autumn Soup Scoop
Hey there, soup lovers! As the leaves turn colour and start to fall, when there's a noticeable chill in the air, it can only mean one thing: it's officially soup season!
Hello
And its a final hello from Australia. Soon after this newsletter drops into your inbox I will be starting the epic journey back to the UK and I can’t say that I am looking forward to it. The flights are so long!
I have had just the best time here over the month, spending time with my long time best friend Nic, each time we meet we just pick up where we left off as if it were yesterday. I have also got to see so much on this trip it really has been non stop.
The last couple of weeks (sorry about the lack of newsletter last weekend I just didn’t get a chance to write one) I have spent time back in Sydney where Nic lives. I spent a lot of time in the centre travelling in by ferry, no better way to travel and seen again the iconic Harbour bridge and opera house. I spent many hours meandering around this beautiful city on my own while Nic was back at work taking in the Botanical gardens, the zoo and a couple of lunchtime concerts as well as long walks along the harbour front.
Last weekend we went to Lake Macquarie a couple of hours north of sydney and I finally got to see a possum for the first time and the following night it came with it’s baby. So cute! A big thank you to Rob and Dee for their kind hospitality.
Well, that’s about it from me, next week normal service will resume and I shall have much less off-topic things to say as my regular life really isn’t that newsworthy.
So back to the topic you are really here for - Recipes! I gather the last week the weather in the UK has really changed for the cooler and Autumn has well and truly arrived. It is the perfect time to start eating soup again and I have plenty of delicious soups on Recipes Made Easy for you to choose from.
With warmth and ladles of love
PS. Have you been watching Bake Off? I’m looking forward to binge watching when I get back to catch up while I recover from any jet lag.
