Turkey or No Turkey!
Are you looking for an alternative to turkey for your Christmas dinner this year? Then look no further, Recipe Crumbs has it covered.
Hello friends
I hope you have had a good week. I have been busy in the kitchen recipe testing and photographing some new recipes. I had hoped to have the first new recipe up on Only Crumbs Remain before I wrote this newsletter, but alas I ran out of time. I’ll give you a sneak preview below, and it should be up by next week when I will of course share a link.
Remember the air fryer poll I posted in my newsletter a few weeks ago? The results show that more than 50% of those who replied had one. I was feeling left out, so I finally took the plunge and got one last week and I’ve been busy playing around with that too. Overall I’m more impressed with it than I thought I would be, although I did have a couple of near disasters. I’ll be sharing air fryer recipes with you soon.
In last week’s Recipe Crumbs, I shared some of my ideas for festive desserts and the week before cakes bakes and foodie gifts. I will be making my cake and Christmas pudding this weekend.
With the sweet stuff planned, now is a good time to be turning the attention to the main course.
I’m a bit of a traditionalist, I usually go for turkey but to be honest last year I was shocked at just how pricy it was. As there will only be 7 of us this year I may just opt for something else instead. On Recipes Made Easy, I have a recipe collection of delicious alternative festive main courses. Whether you are looking for an alternative roast, vegetarian dish, a meal that is just for one or two of you or just looking for something a little different there is something for everyone
Until next time have a delicious week.
PS. If you are going for turkey I will be sharing a link to my complete guide to Christmas dinner including a handy timetable On Recipe Crumbs before the big day
