Easy Lamb Kebabs for Barbecue Week
Its time to get the barbie out and enjoy a little alfresco cooking
Hello
In my last newsletter I shared Easy Quick Bakes in time for World Baking day. Well next week 26th-1st June is National Barbecue week. Which may explain why the unseasonable warm and dry spring weather here in UK has now returned to near normal that or the fact its another Bank holiday weekend 😂
After baking, barbecuing is probably my next favourite style of cooking. I often cook on the barbecue even if we eat indoors. Many years ago, I was commissioned to write a book of 100 recipes for barbecues and salads and I was hooked. Nowadays, I tend to cook whole joints of meat on my barbecue instead of in the oven and I have even cooked the Christmas turkey a few times outside, one year with the barbecue under an umbrella in the rain.
And yet I don’t have many barbecue recipes on the blogs. Which is something I really should rectify at some point. But luckily I do have a few, including my Easy Lamb kebabs. The great thing about these is that even if the weather doesn't play ball you can cook them under a grill, on a griddle pan or nowadays in an air fryer (15-20 minutes at 200℃ /400°F).
Until next time have a delicious week.
PS. Sorry Im a day late this week, I forgot to press publish on Saturday. Opps!

The perfect barbecue dessert!
Before I became a plant-based only consumer, I used to love a gyro from New York City or Austin food trucks. There's something about grilled lamb and tzatziki in a warm piece of lavash or pita. Yum. Barbecue is big business in Texas. Have you ever been to try it out? 😃
