MORE CRUMBS...... Air Fryer Croutons
Knock up a batch of Air Fryer Croutons in the time it take reheat a bowl of soup!
Hello and welcome to More Crumbs
In my look back at September newsletter, I shared a link to my soup recipes on Recipes Made Easy, as I have been making a lot more soup as the weather turns colder.
Garnishes on soup can make even the simplest of soups look more tasty and appetising. Without a garnish, they can look rather ...well boring! And I don’t know about you, but one of my favourite garnishes is croutons.
That said, when you are opting for soup as a quick meal, getting a frying pan out and frying croutons can seem like a bit of a fuss. But recently, I discovered just how quick and easy it was to make a batch of croutons in the air fryer.
The simple pea and bean soup I had cooked needed a bit of jazzing up with a garnish, and the previous night, I had made the soup and served it topped with some slices of fried chorizo. When reheating the remains for lunch the following day I was going to serve it with some bread, but the remains of my loaf were stale, so I decided to try make it into croutons in the air fryer.
Ready in less time than it took to reheat the bowl of soup in the microwave, I felt I must share the recipe (if you can call it that) with you.
This post is another of my exclusive recipes for my paid subscribers and features recipes that are not on either of Recipes Made Easy or Only Crumbs Remain.
